Monster Acrylic Dice Tube - Conversion
pinshape
Convert old or broken Monster Acrylic tubes into Dice Holders and/or Dice Towers; We have several of these tubes from Monster, originally used to hold playmats. A few seem to chip or crack on the closed ends after being dropped or shoved precariously into a bookbag. Instead of throwing them out, we converted some to hold dice and use them as dice tubes/towers using these inserts. Depending on wear/tear, you may need to saw off the closed end or use a hole saw drill bit to cut out a feeder hole to drop your dice in; or let them fall out, depending on your preference. I'll probably rework this for standard circular acrylic tubes with a 2-inch diameter. Note: The percentage scale needed some adjustments based on whether I printed them using an Afinia or a Rep2x - results may vary. I printed the two alternating single units at 0.30mm height, taking about 90 minutes to print - no support was necessary. I then printed six and slid them gently into the tube; no glue was needed, as friction held it in place. So far, I haven't printed the alternating units with the mana symbols within them yet; that's lined up for this weekend. The tube rings are used to slide over the acrylic tube as 'grips'; be careful not to snap them when sliding over the outside.
