Monostatic D1 (VSauce inspired)
thingiverse
Hey everyone, as my first post ever, this is a really simple gomboc-style, monostatic D1 STL inspired by this [VSauce short](https://youtu.be/erAuinBotBQ). I recommend you play with the STL a bit to get it printing right. I personally have not printed it yet, and the .3mf file is just an example of what it would look like with some inset text applied using the PrusaSlicer 2.6.0 alpha3. If you want it to work well, I'd recommend printing in 100% infill, and I imagine it will work best if you use a dense, possibly metal-infused filament to decrease the bounciness of the otherwise lightweight plastic. Also, a small layer height is absolutely essential for this print, I recommend 0.12 or lower. Resin users rejoice! Leave a comment if you've printed this (and how!) as my printer is currently out of commission, but I just wanted to make this for anyone who may be interested in having a monostatic D1 like the one in the short but does not have the money to purchase a CuriosityBox subscription (which you totally should do, btw!)
