Monoprice Ultimate / Wanhao Duplicator 6 Fan Duct with Bracket
thingiverse
UPDATE: 2019-01-16 ----------------------------- After posting, I've been running this fan duct with the added bracket nearly non-stop since then (with obvious breaks for clearing the build plate and changing filament) and there has been zero drooping! In fact, I even did a torture test of putting it near the build plate and cranking up the nozzle and plate temperatures well beyond PLA's limits and it held fast. If you're experiencing any drooping issues after adding this bracket, please let me know! ----------------------------- I originally printed the part that I remixed from (created by JGTMaker). Since I printed it in PLA, however, it began to sag after a while; especially when I printed TPU. Of the options out there, I still prefer the look/fit/function of the original, but wanted a small bracket to keep it from sagging. This project will also require: 1 x M3*8 Screw 2 x M3*4 Screws 1 x M3 Nut On the far end of the duct, I opened up the duct and walled it off so as to connect the bracket with the duct using the M3*8 screw and M3 nut. It seemed like there wasn't going to be a good way to make the bracket part of the duct, as the duct prints best when flipped upside down, using supports only where touching the build plate. The two M3*4 screws are used to attach the bracket to the front of the extruder base. Leaving this listed as a WIP for now because I haven't been printing with the bracket on for very long and want to make sure it doesn't sag anymore before calling it "done".
