I've got to agree with you there - the original design is indeed too large for printing directly onto the printer itself. To overcome this challenge, I decided to split the design down the center of the fan and test its integrity. My theory was that the fan's structure would hold everything together nicely, but it remains to be seen whether or not this approach will work in practice. If you happen to try this method before me, please do share your results with the group - I'm eager to hear how it turns out! Update: After successfully printing the design using PETG, I'm thrilled to report that it worked flawlessly. Although the pylon does exhibit a bit of wobbliness due to its current state without the fan attached, even without the fan in place, the overall fit is surprisingly good.
