Monoprice Select Mini v2 - Modular Tool Holder
myminifactory
I've seen several nice designs for tool holders that fit perfectly on my Monoprice Select Mini 3D printer, but I found myself constantly reprinting them as my needs kept changing. At first, I was using the stock bed with a pallet knife, so one setup worked fine. Then I switched to a glass bed and some PVA glue, which required a different holder, and so on. The solution for me was to design a modular tool holder similar to a pegboard. Here it is. The set consists of the modular holder itself (2 rows of 9 evenly spaced M3 holes) and several addons: * A front-facing hook with a 4.3mm width that can hold any tool, quite strong; * A side-facing hook with a 2mm width that's not as sturdy but good for wider tools; * A front-facing loop (7x11mm rectangular cut out); * A variation with a 2.5mm hex key hole and a small hook; * A variation with a 3mm hex key hole and a standoff from the surface, in case the screw head is in the way; * A side-facing loop (3mm round cut out, for hex keys); * A 12.5mm tap wrench holder with holes for M2 and M3 taps; All the pieces are mechanically connected to the holder using nylon M3 screws. The length of the screws can be between 4 and 8 mm. You'll also need an M3 tap to prepare the holes for the screws. I'm providing dimensions for the base of each add-on, so feel free to use them to make your own designs and share them with the community.
