Monoprice Mini Delta V2 Bed Heater Hole Cover
thingiverse
The idea of this mod is to isolate already weak bed heater of the Monoprice Mini Delta V2 to prevent cool air suctioned by the electronics cooling fan entering underneath and cooling the bed plate. This is two piece component, to install you will have to disconnect the bed heater and thermistor cables from the board. The two parts snap together and are held by friction. Orientation is also important - ensure cable slot/opening is facing rear motor (C). While the bed is off the printer, I highly recommend isolating the underneath part with kapton tape, that combined with an upgraded power supply (6+ amps) makes bed heat a lot quicker to 60 degrees and stay there during print. With some more patience, bed can reach higher temps and allow printing with other materials than PLA, such as PETG. If installing kapton tape, make sure the areas where microswitches contact the plate are clean of tape (bare bed) to avoid any issues with bed leveling. Due to proximity of the heater, the material used for this mod should be heat resistant, I recommend Polycarbonate or ABS. Do not use PLA as it will deform/melt from the heat.
