Monoprice Mini Delta Initial/Basic Gcode Calibration

I recently added a basic troubleshooting section to the bottom of this page. If you have a problem with this machine that is easily solved, then it should be covered there. For instance, if you are using Cura 4.5, you need to lower the bed temperature (in Cura) for anything to print on your stock printer. The truth is, the stock MPMD cannot be reliably calibrated via true delta calibration until something is done to address the wobbly bed leveling system. If it's your only 3D printer, then you first need to get it to where it can print at least somewhat accurately in order to print the recommended upgrade parts. Only then should you fully calibrate your MPMD. Get people new to delta 3D printing used to the idea that calibration hexagons are more meaningful than calibration cubes in this context due to delta design. 2. Small enough that it won't be affected too badly by the stock bed leveling problems that plague so many MPMD 3D printers outside of the very center of the bed. 3. Solid enough that it won't bend/deflect too much when measured with calipers. Note: this is just used for the recommended quick-and-dirty MPMD initial calibrations. Better (but more involved) processes exist for true calibration. 4. Simple enough to be used for extrusion multiplier calibration when the proper slicer settings are set. You should definitely read/do the stuff in MPMD 101. You should print the test lucky cat, push down on the bed clips, double-check part lubrication, and tune the belts prior to proceeding here. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LHomAxmgSWEggiCM1p6B0vZCIcJPIFTe0OqnozhtZxc/view You also need some calipers capable of reading out to at least 0.01 mm. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GSLKIW/ If you are a complete beginner, you can store these calibration values at the top of your Start Gcode. Some people prefer to store it to printer memory, instead, via M500. Just be aware that M665 R does not save properly through power cycles on stock firmware, even if the printer lies and tells you that it did.
