Monoprice Mini Delta E3D V6 Clone Mount
thingiverse
I wanted to upgrade my factory hot end to an all-metal E3D V6 style with minimal modifications to my printer's overall design. Other designs either replace the entire effector or are quite large, but this one is a direct screw-in replacement for the Monoprice hot end and fits both the Monoprice and E3D heat blocks seamlessly. It even utilizes the factory fan and cooling duct, making installation a breeze. The screws that hold the factory hot end to the effector plate can be reused, and only two #4-20 x 3/4" rolling thread screws are needed to secure the collar around the hot end. Since the Monoprice heat block can be reused without any issues, all of the original wiring remains intact. An opening in the top allows for easy passage of the heating element connector, making installation a straightforward process. This design has been thoroughly tested and I'm currently printing with it without any problems. Since none of the factory wiring is altered, this upgrade can be done and reversed if an RMA for my printer is required without affecting the warranty. I was less than satisfied with the heat break cooling on some longer prints, so I decided to make a few adjustments. Hopefully, these changes will force more air through the heat break and position the part cooling duct closer to the nozzle for improved results. I also countersunk the screw holes on the locking collar, making them sit flush with the rest of the design.
