This thing serves as an upgrade to the Monoprice Maker Ultimate 2 top mount spool holder found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4445727. If you're using the top mount spool holder, you may have noticed that during retractions and moves towards the spool holder, you get back spooled filament. This issue is solved by this addition. The head of the arm features a PTFE holder integrated into it with a chamfered oval exit, allowing for the filament to move at a gradual extension rate rather than a hard corner, preventing filament breakage. I've conducted extensive testing with PLA, CF PLA, PETG, CF PETG, ABS, CF ABS, PC, and Glow in the Dark PLA. The glow in the dark filament is by far my most brittle filament, and I was able to complete a few prints but cannot recommend this on extremely brittle filaments. Instead, I would dial up the tension on the spool that this thing serves as an addition too. The designer of the thing this is an addition to and was inspired by can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/notforeveryone/designs. I haven't tested this with flexibles yet, but I will update when I do; however, this thing is a done deal in my opinion.
