Here's another Monoprice Maker Select V2 spool extender that I'm really pleased with! I couldn't find one that met my requirements when I was looking for it, but now I see a few options available. Maybe I just didn't use the right search terms earlier. This spool extender can accommodate a spool up to 93 mm wide, which is perfect for my 1 kg spool of "BuMat" PLA filament that measures 92 mm wide. However, it only works with spools that have plenty of clearance inside them, so make sure you check your spool before ordering. I like this extender because it simply extends the original holder, using less plastic than a new holder would and avoiding any potential quality issues with printing screw threads. One minor downside is that you'll need to drill a hole through your Monoprice holder. **Important Note:** Since this design leaves the flange at the end of the existing holder intact, you need a spool with enough room inside to clear this flange. Place one side of your spool on the existing holder and support the other end so that the spool is level. If the spool won't turn freely because the flange is interfering, then this isn't the extender for you! Luckily, it works perfectly with my ~3 year old BuMat 92mm 1 kg spool, but they may have changed their spool designs since then.
