Monoprice Maker Select Plus Filament Guide

Main goal was to shorten arm so it centers perfectly on 80mm wide spools, as shown in attached photo, which initially measured 10mm too long. Solution fixed that issue and now aligns seamlessly with spool diameter. Arm relocation to opposite side of mounting plate also minimized material usage. Overall redesign reduced volume by approximately 33% compared to similar designs. Entry point is 4mm wide, accommodating short PTFE tubing from Monoprice Maker Select Plus printer. This optimized path allows filament to glide smoothly and maintain straightness without curling or kinking. After several prints, tubing easily slid out, prompting addition of a small drop of super glue for secure attachment. Design built upon existing concepts, but was entirely reimagined from scratch. Process involved addressing mesh holes and other flaws found in original designs. Note that this redesign necessitated longer mounting bolts on printer to accommodate new configuration.
