Monoprice Maker Select IIIP Y Pulley Block Support
thingiverse
This modification works perfectly with a Monoprice Maker Select, and it's likely to be compatible with a Wanhao I3 Plus as well. The new support keeps the metallic block from twisting inward as you tighten the y-axis belt. To make this work, you'll need to replace the old bolt - if you remember whether it was an M3 or M4, that would help. The printer's original bolt won't be long enough after making the swap. I used a 20mm bolt to get the job done. Update: June 4th, 2018 After further review, I decided to replace the entire metal block instead of just adding support. This new design houses the pulley and is attached to the gantry using an M3 nut and bolt. To make this work, you'll need to swap out the original M3 bolt with a longer one - preferably 12mm. I also noticed that the metal block is about 2mm higher than the stepper motor on the other side of the belt. This entire support block has been lowered by 2mm as a result.
