Monoprice Pro Mk. 1 / Wanhao Duplicator 9 Spool Holder This spool holder is straightforward, mimicking the OEM metal one that comes with your printer. I designed it to match the 1.5" 8020 aluminum extrusion perfectly. At first glance, this spool holder appears sturdy enough to support a fully loaded spool. However, we'll have to see how it performs over time. It's not a final version and has plenty of room for improvement. I created it solely for quicker spool changing on my machine. ***This original design works fine, but I've designed a more robust model that I'll add later after using it awhile. The beefier version provides better stability, and if you ever need to transfer filament from one spool to another, this setup works well. Since the Mk. 1 uses standard 80/20 aluminum 15 series (1515) extrusion for its frame and gantry, adding accessories is a breeze. I simply bolted the spool holder to the gantry and frame using 5/16" t-slot hardware. If you don't have this hardware, there are many ways to connect to the t-slots on the aluminum extrusion. Pictures show how to mount the spool holder (and other accessories) using common carriage bolts in the extrusion t-slot. I printed the spool holder at .2 resolution with a 2mm shell and 50% infill, printing it flat on its side. Hardware list: (2) 5/16" -18 button head socket screws, 5/8" length or (2) 5/16" -18 carriage bolts, 1" length (2) 5/16" -18 slide-in t-nuts or (2) 5/16" -18 hex nuts
