Monkey Saddle Dual

Monkey Saddle Dual

thingiverse

This design can be printed without additional base support structures. It is a three-dimensional representation of a monkey saddle surface defined by the equation z = (x^3-3xy^2)/2. A traditional saddle maintains balance, while providing designated places for both legs to rest. In contrast, this custom saddle features an open design, accommodating not just two legs but also a tail! Mathematically, its geometry displays a flat region centered in the middle that is neither at its highest nor lowest point. Moreover, this flat area is significantly more even than that found on traditional saddles.
