The monkey sits atop a cushioned footstool, forming the plinth, his head turned sharply to the right. His tail curves elegantly under him as he plays a triangular harp resting on his knees. The harp's divided knobbed top shows signs of slight injury. He may be draped in a hooded cloak, though this is unclear. The damaged back reveals considerable modeling, including the rear of the harp and the monkey's left arm, which plucks the strings with precision. Striations suggesting drapery are indicated behind his head. A circular vent protrudes from the hollow, two-piece mold. The object's micaceous orange-brown Nile silt surface displays a buff finish in places, interspersed with white grits. The front features remnants of a white dressing, and yellow paint adorns the upright and harp's top. This unique artifact is part of "Scan The World," a non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory to create a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe.
