The lower jawbone, a mandible, belonging to a macaque monkey has been divided in two sections so it can be printed without additional support. Print Settings: - Printer: prusa i3 - Rafts: No rafts are needed for this print. - Supports: There is no need for any supports either. - Resolution: The print resolution used here is 2 millimeters per layer. - Infill Density: A percentage of 10 to 20 percent has been used for the infill. Post Printing Instructions Glue both parts together, completing this model. I came up with the idea after bringing a macaque monkey into our department so its skull could be scanned using computerized tomography and magnetic resonance imaging techniques. This type of macaque monkey is commonly utilized in research concerning neuroscience. After extracting the bone and brain from these scans, I chose to print them. The mandible pictured here was the first item printed from this design. The remainder will soon be uploaded on Thingiverse as well:http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1233641
