These "Monkey Hooks" are often referred to by other names. They serve as wall hooks for hanging pictures and various items. By making just one small hole in the drywall, they offer a preferred solution if you rent a place and want to cause minimal damage to the walls. They can hold a significant amount of weight - the ones shown are rated at 25 lbs. However, one drawback is that the hook part itself is quite small. I designed these extensions so I could hang thicker objects, such as the thermometer in the photo. First, install the wire hook into your wall. Next, squeeze a small amount of 5-Minute Epoxy into the slot in the extension. Push the extension onto the hook; it fits snugly. Adjust its position, wipe away any excess epoxy, and let it harden. The print is straightforward. Orient it upside down so that the slot is at the top, avoiding any obstructions. Printing this took about 5 grams and around 15 minutes if I recall correctly. Metric files are also available. Some software may misinterpret inches as millimeters due to compatibility issues.
