This piece is primarily used when building a reproduction Monkey Ball setup for a Sega candy cab or a cabinet utilizing the Sega candy cab style control panel. This adapter plate is used to mount the Sanwa JLK-GF2-AT joystick to the Monkey Ball control panel. Normally, when purchasing this joystick, the mounting plate it comes with is too large for the control panel, so a special one is required to fit the available dimensions.
