sketchfab
Monk Bretton Priory, located near Barnsley in South Yorkshire, UK, was established around 1154. This historic site ceased operations in 1538 as part of the Dissolution of the Monasteries and was subsequently ravaged for its usable building materials. The detailed model showcases a massive administrative building from the 13th century. The upper floor, rebuilt during the 17th century, may have served as the monks' manorial courthouse where they would collect rents from tenant farmers and resolve disputes related to the manor.
