COMEX Marine and Innovation Departments undertook comprehensive underwater surveys to monitor red coral (Corallium rubrum) populations within the French Calanques National Park, situated off the coast of Marseille. The research team ventured beyond 50 meters in depth, utilizing a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) equipped with cutting-edge ORUS3D technology. A submerged rock teeming with deep-sea fauna was discovered in Cassidaigne canyon at an astonishing 200 meters below sea level.
