COMEX Marine and Innovation Departments conducted extensive underwater surveys of red coral (Corallium rubrum) populations in the French Calanques National Park, located just off the coast of Marseille. To achieve this, they employed a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) equipped with the ORUS3D system. This cutting-edge technology allowed them to explore areas beyond 50 meters depth, gathering vital data on the coral's health and behavior. The surveys took place in the Cassidaigne canyon, where the rock is home to an array of deep-sea fauna at depths of up to 200 meters.
