This mount is crafted specifically to hold an ~8" tablet securely to a Monoprice 3-Way Desk Mount Bracket or a 2-Way Desk Mount Bracket. This setup can also work with similar monitor arms utilizing 30mm poles. Any system that meets these specifications should be compatible. The design consists of two key components: the tablet holder and the clamp. The clamp is engineered to simplify assembly through nut captures, ensuring quick and effortless construction. In the accompanying image, you see this mount holding a Dell Venue 8 Pro tablet in tandem with OctoPrint, which acts as a 3D Printing monitor and remote. A mounted tablet can be used for an array of applications, such as controlling music playback or monitoring social media updates. For Assembly Instructions: Begin by printing both the clamp and the mount using your preferred 3D printing method. The prototype pictured was created using PLA filament at 2mm layer thickness on a Rigidbot Big. No support material was needed for this particular print. To assemble, place the two components onto the monitor arm's pole, secured with 2 screws and nuts. The clamp features nut retainers that securely fasten the nuts in place, facilitating straightforward assembly. For this prototype, M5-0.8 hex nuts and 10mm machine screws were used.
