Monitor Stand (with IKEA EKBY LAIVA) under 5$
thingiverse
I built my own monitor stand using an old IKEA EKBY LAIVA for €3. My previous stand was subpar, so I decided to create a better solution without breaking the bank. You can repurpose these legs for other projects and shelves. My design consists of 3D printed legs with two parts that screw together, making it easy to print without supports. To attach the upper part to the IKEA shelf, you'll need some self-tapping screws (wood bolts) - I used 3/leg, 3.75mm diameter x 25mm long ones. Shorter screws will also work. I'm using five legs, and the stand is rock solid. If there's any misalignment, you can adjust it after installation by tightening the leg screws. The space below the stand is 83mm; if I unscrewed more, it would wobble. If you want changes or a longer lower part, leave a comment - I can tweak the design to allow for more clearance.
