Monitor Stand (Stackable)
thingiverse
I was showing a new colleague his computer at work when he asked if we had any monitor stands available. I replied that we didn't have any, but the next day while passing by his cubicle, I noticed he had stacked some books to serve as a makeshift stand. This sparked an idea in me - I could design and print some stands myself, then sell them to my coworkers at cost. My primary goal was to create a quick and easy-to-print solution since I would need to produce a large quantity of them. As I modeled the design, it occurred to me that stacking multiple stands could provide users with different height options, which was a nice bonus feature. Given that I currently have a 0.8 nozzle on my printer, I based all my dimensions off this specification. With walls being 1.6mm thick, there's no need for infill printing. Using the 0.8 nozzle at 60mms, each stand prints in approximately 3 hours and 10 minutes. I also designed some end caps that I planned to print using TPU material, but haven't had a chance to test them yet. If you have any suggestions on how to improve this design, please let me know. Thanks for taking the time to review it!
