My workspace has a sleek new addition - an articulating arm that holds my monitor securely in place. I needed a convenient storage solution below the screen where sticky notes used to clutter up the space, so I designed and built a shelf to fit perfectly. The goal was to create a dedicated spot for essential devices like my Apple Watch charger, Elgato StreamDeck Mini, and phone, along with pens and any other accessories. This shelf is specifically tailored to utilize the existing screw holes from the monitor's base, making it easy to install. To enhance functionality, I added extra holes for storing pens, cables, and other small items, which also improves airflow at high speeds - a thoughtful touch that shows attention to detail. The design allows for future expansion by adding more pieces laterally, giving me flexibility in case I want to extend the shelf. Cura estimates that printing this design on best settings will take approximately 11 hours. To ensure smooth cable routing, some supports were added for larger holes. The main circular gap is spacious enough to accommodate a USB connection. Hole spacing has been carefully verified to guarantee a secure and stable installation. EDIT: I've uploaded an updated version with thinner and taller vertical pieces, allowing me to use shorter screws and adding two small triangular mounts for extra strength. A middle gap was also added to provide wiggle room during mounting. If the shelf turns out to be too tall for your needs, feel free to stop the print at the desired height or simply cut it down to size.
