Monitor Pen Cup

I have a 22" monitor attached to my laptop and I'm always losing my pens around the desk. This cup is designed to hang over the top of the monitor completely out of the way but gives me a couple places to keep several pens, pencils, and even a 6" metal ruler. I now have two of these on my monitor, the original one is in black, I had to print it in a lighter color so that it would be visible in photos.

The Dell monitor has a large bump out behind the monitor that required a 1.5" long arm to make the cup parallel to the monitor. I haven't tried it on others monitors, you might need to adjust the length of that arm for your monitor.

Print Settings

Printer:

QIDI X-One2

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.2 mm

Infill:

50%

Filament: SUNLU PLA + Silk Blue

Notes:

There is no way to print this without supports but printing it upside down reduced the required filament from 20m to 15m because it needed so much less support for the large arm. This knocked the print time down about 20% as well. Infill is whatever you like, it hardly impacts the build, I prefer the strength you get from a higher infill value, so I printed it at 50%.

Category: Office
