Monitor camera mount

Monitor camera mount

This clips onto the top of a computer monitor, allowing you to mount your camera for a convenient slightly raised vantage point.

You need some parts to actually mount the camera:

A ball head, widely available from amazon/ebay/aliexpress et al.

A ¼"-20 screw; I used one that was 25mm long but anything above 12mm or so should do.

(optional) a 25mm/1" penny washer.

Place the washer on the screw, poke it through the hole in the 3d printed part, and screw on the ball head.

This is probably overbuilt, and should be good for a fairly large camera (much larger than the old point&shoot I used in the pictures, I was using my camera to take the picture so couldn't show it with a proper camera), but a 70-200 f/2.8 lens might be a bit too heavy though.

A wide angle (35mm equivalent and wider) lens should give nice framing, depending on your desk setup.

Print instructions:

Print with the top side facing down; a coarse layer height will be fine.

requires a 110x130mm print bed with 70mm height.
