I wanted to use my cheap Panasonic camcorder as a webcam for video conferencing, since it has much better image quality than any of my webcams. So I made this mounting adapter, which works with the tripod head from a cheap Gorillapod clone (mine is specifically the Sunpak Flexpod, available at https://amzn.to/39v76Yk), and is designed to fit my LG 27UK500 monitor. Print Settings Printer: Artillery Genius Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 100% Filament: Hatchbox PLA Notes: Unless you have the same/similar monitor as me, you'll want to edit the .scad file, and enable the "// test fitter" section and disable the "// mounting plate" and "// body" sections, then generate the .stl and print it to see how well the bracket profile fits your monitor. Edit the coordinates in the monitor_profile() polygon accordingly, and then iterate until you have a fit piece that fits on your monitor. Then disable the test fitter and reenable mounting plate and body, and then print that out. Post-Printing ============= You can optionally put some 3/8" steel bearings into the tubes as additional counterweight. I used CA glue to attach the mounting plate to the body, but you can probably also weld it with a filament pen or heat gun or the like. Category: Camera
