Monitor bracket remote holder and headset charger
thingiverse
This is a desktop organizer remote holder and wireless headset charger. It’s designed to secure a multitude of gadgets that usually occupy valuable desk space, but are now neatly integrated into a sturdy behind-my-monitor bracket. It holds two remotes (one for my monitor and one for the Amazon Echo in another room), a Vornado Flippi V remote control, a remote for the novel Apple TV controller, and provides a powered docking station/charger for the VXi BlueParrott B350-XT Bluetooth headset. While you're unlikely to have the same combination of devices, you might be able to make use of some individual components and craft your own custom elements. The project employs a clever pin system allowing it to be printed with no supports, which worked out fairly well, but also presented its own set of challenges. Post-Printing Assembly proved to be more time-consuming than I initially anticipated. The pins are extremely difficult to insert, but they offer added structural support. I discovered a combination of clamping, hammering, and precise use of pliers was helpful. If you're not willing to go through that process and are open to accepting slightly less grip strength, consider resizing the pins to 4.25mm or 4.00mm. I printed this project using PLA filament and used superglue to enhance the connections between parts, increasing their overall robustness.
