Here's an update for you on your 3ds Max project. Currently working with a max version that's 2014, paired with V-Ray software running at version 3.40.01. You're rendering models in FBX and OBJ formats, right? Just like the Mongolian Fur Bench scene I'm modeling here - dimensions of which come out to be roughly 140mm wide by 55mm long and a height of around 45mm. To avoid any issues with hair texture during the final rendering phase, switch over to the Rendering Effects tab first, locate the Hair & Fur settings and toggle the MR Prim mode switch down below for a flawless finish.
