My mom works in a Giant Eagle Pharmacy, where one major issue since the coronavirus outbreak has been the rise in cash usage, which poses a cleanliness problem. Her colleagues share this concern, with some customers openly acknowledging it - like an older woman who claimed to have sprayed her money with disinfectant. I decided to design a pair of tongs specifically for handling money, allowing bills and coins to be safely scooped without direct contact. This innovation will significantly reduce the risk of transmission for my mom and her coworkers.
