Money Box

With the recent launch of the new one pound coin in the UK, I found myself suddenly accumulating a substantial collection of these shiny new nuggets in my change. The more I received them, the more I felt compelled to start saving them - not that I had any particular reason for doing so, other than the simple fact that I couldn't bear to part with them. As a result, I decided it was time to design a money box to store my pound coins in rather than leaving them loose. The design I opted for is based on the one pound coin itself, scaled up by a ratio of four to one - 11 of them stacked on top of each other, with a slight rotation as they rise up. The topmost coin serves as the lid, making it easy to access the coins when you need change for parking or bus fare.
