It's also known as milkweed, common tiger, wanderer, and black veined brown, depending on where you are in the world. This iconic North American butterfly is considered one of the most recognizable pollinators around, with its stunning wings featuring a distinctive black, orange, and white pattern that measures between 8.9–10.2 cm (3 1⁄2–4 inches) across when spread wide.
