I started experimenting with lithopanes, creating them from a grayscale JPEG of the Monarch 3DWarehouse Globe. First, I converted the image to an STL file using CURA, which generated the necessary data for 3D printing. After obtaining the STL file, I glued it onto a night light purchased on Amazon. Print Settings Printer Brand: FlashForge Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 mm Infill: 100% Notes: A build plate temperature of 50 C was used, along with an extruder speed of 48 mm/sec and a travel speed of 80 mm/sec. Designing This Project Image Conversion using CURA I loaded the grayscale JPEG image into CURA. In the convert image panel, I set the image height to 2 mm and the base height to 1 mm. After saving the file for use in ReplicatorG, it was ready for printing.
