Momentum Fidget Spinner v2
thingiverse
Remix of a previous spinner, but this one doesn't require ceramic bearing. It still uses 10mm rare earth magnets. This version spins for 30-45 seconds with minimal effort. Acceleration is faster due to greater magnet travel without interference from the bearing. Like before, it speeds up as it slows down and slows down as it speeds up, requiring one or two extra flicks to accelerate after the magnets move to their outer position. Inspired by example prints seen in whosawhatsis's book, 3D Printed Science Projects, during my Maker Faire visit. Atomic Filament Clearance Translucent Ruby Red PLA and Filamentum Vertigo Gray PLA are used. Watch a video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swua50XJmQY. **affiliate links**
