Molossian Dog / Cane Molosso This marble sculpture showcases a seated Molosser, an ancient breed of dog renowned for guarding homes and livestock, as well as serving in war efforts. This particular sculpture is one of a pair of marble Molossers displayed in the Uffizi Gallery, located in Florence, Italy, and was 3D scanned through collaboration with Indiana University's digitization project partnered with the Galleria degli Uffizi.
