A mag holder designed specifically for the SSG24, engineered to seamlessly integrate with the mag-well locking function. This innovative design is also compatible with the MOLLE system and boasts an enhanced durability feature, utilizing zip ties instead of clips to withstand extreme conditions. UPDATE: Significant updates have been implemented, resulting in numerous failures before achieving a successful design. TLDR: A plethora of revisions, many setbacks, but ultimately a highly effective mag holder was created. UPDATE V1: The first iteration of the mag holder suffered from various flaws, including poor fitment. UPDATE V2/3/4: Subsequent revisions introduced bidirectional magazine insertion, corrected alignment issues, and added finger grip cutouts. However, these modifications failed to yield a satisfactory design. UPDATE V5/6/7: Building upon the previous version, all functional aspects were retained while enlarging the width to ensure a snug fit within the mag well. This revision addressed clearance concerns but still left room for improvement. UPDATE V8: This iteration worked flawlessly, but a notable issue arose: molle clips broke easily when printed with PLA. As a result, experimentation with ABS began. UPDATE V9: Due to challenges associated with prototyping with ABS, PETG was adopted as an alternative material. This version corrected tolerances and slightly slimmed down the design while maintaining compatibility with the MOLLE system. However, PLA brittleness persisted in molle clips. UPDATE V10: Since molle clip fragility continued to plague earlier designs, a new iteration was developed using zip ties for attachment to the MOLLE system. This revised mag holder functions perfectly and has finally reached a state of completion.
