A ball mill is an equipment that grinds materials into finely divided powders by using grinding media, such as steel balls, in a rotating cylindrical container. The material to be ground is introduced into the cylinder along with the grinding media and water, if necessary, to form a slurry. The cylinder is then rotated at a controlled speed. As the cylinder rotates, the steel balls tumble and collide with each other and the material being ground, causing it to break up into finer particles.
