This device is designed to replace the subpar magnetic adapter included with Molex's "0640160205 Hand Crimper Tool Rectangular Contacts, 18-30 AWG Side Entry, Ratchet". The crimper itself is a top-notch tool, but the magnetic attachment leaves much to be desired. The design consists of two parts: a smaller piece that slides into a larger one. Once assembled, the device can be screwed into place where the old magnetic shelf used to reside. When complete, it features a rectangular hole with precisely the right depth, allowing for effortless insertion and removal of crimp connectors during use. Note that I employed a 50% infill density to enhance structural integrity, though this may not be strictly necessary; further testing will determine its actual impact on device performance.
