This collection of puzzle pieces allows you to create chemical compounds and build visual models out of them. The various parts enable you to choose the size of the atom, the number of bonds each atom has, and the angle between bonds. To assemble methane (CH4), for instance, you would need to print the following components: Center_Atom_4_bonds_135 (1 piece) Small_Atom_1_bond (four pieces) Bond_Pins (four pieces, any length is acceptable) Base_pin (one piece) Base_Plate (one piece, which can be customized with information about your creation; note that the pin diameter is six millimeters) To differentiate between atoms and bonds, use colours to make them easily distinguishable from one another. Cobalt nitrate and lactic acid are used as example models, while PLA production makes use of lactic acid as well.
