Molecular Model - ADP (Adenine DiPhosphate) - atomic scale model
thingiverse
Just a nice water-tight, manifold, 3D-friendly STL molecular model of Adenine DiPhosphate that's perfect for printing and displaying. Check out my profile to see more creations - I've got some printed and some waiting to be brought to life! If you have a specific molecule in mind, don't hesitate to ask; just keep in mind that my response time might not be lightning-fast. I'm passionate about using these models to teach my kids about chemistry. I even have a model for Adenine TriPhosphate (ATP) that shows how it changes into this one (ADP) after providing its first energy boost. It's an awesome way to help them visualize complex concepts! For FDM printing, these models require careful planning and lots of supports - but the end result is totally worth it. Take a look at my slicer output for a better understanding of what I mean. And I'm really looking forward to seeing some SLM versions that should make things easier. The images you see are from different stages in the modeling process, and every molecule has undergone computational atomic bond optimization and simulation to ensure accurate bond angles. The atomic "ball" is scaled proportionally to its actual size, even though the displayed radius is just for visualization purposes. My models are designed to have plenty of triangles, so they're perfect for large-scale fabrication.
