myminifactory
This ancient Kushan-era figurine mold, dating from 200 BC to AD 200, was meticulously scanned in three dimensions at HNB Garhwal University, nestled in the heart of Uttarakhand, India. Utilizing a NextEngine Desktop 3D scanner, the team successfully captured every intricate detail of this prized artifact. This groundbreaking scanning effort was part of a collaborative partnership between HNB Garhwal University and the esteemed Virtual Curation Laboratory at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). The joint project aimed to showcase the immense cultural treasures held within HNB Garhwal University's archives from North India, making these priceless resources accessible to VCU students and an international audience. This ambitious initiative was generously supported by the VCU Globe Digital Classroom Initiative award. The digital replica of this mold can be viewed online at https://www.myminifactory.com/object/digital-cast-from-figurine-mold-43284 .
