This is two two-part mold designs I made for a project of a friend who created a cast in candle wax. We utilized vaseline as a release agent and to prevent leakage we sealed the seams with duct tape and submerged the entire filled mold in cold water to solidify the leaking wax so it would seal itself. A picture will be uploaded soon. Note: Wax shrinks significantly when cooling. I should have added a reservoir for the wax to seep into the mold to maintain constant volume. I got a hole at the bottom of the bottle, which didn't matter much for its intended purpose. Print Settings Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1 mm Infill: 20% Notes: I printed this in PLA and the hot wax softened it a lot. More thermal mass might inhibit warping, so a high infill percentage should be better. If you have time and you're casting hot wax, use 100% infill. Post-Printing Sanding You could sand the inside of the mold to make the cast look better or just sand the final product.
