This 3D printable film is designed specifically for mold box corners, making it an essential tool for crafting silicone molds. I personally prefer using foam core for my mold boxes and created these corners to simplify that process. To assemble a complete mold box, you'll need to print four of these corner pieces, which can be easily slipped over strips of foam core to form a leak-proof box. The markings on the inside corner serve as fill indicators, helping ensure proper coverage when pouring the material into the mold. The small protrusion on the outside edge is a cutting guide that allows you to quickly and accurately cut your foam core strips using a razor blade knife. I chose a height of 4 inches for this design because it accommodates approximately 90% of my casting needs, but feel free to stack them for taller pieces by inserting a wooden dowel through the pre-drilled hole. If desired, you can also trim the strips to any height you require, and even create boxes as small as 2 inches x 2 inches. Remember, it's crucial to hot glue the edges of your box or corner to secure them firmly to your pour surface for a successful mold.
