Molar box and stand

Molar box and stand

thingiverse

A friend of mine has children who don't believe in the tooth fairy, so he wanted to repurpose their lost teeth. I accepted the challenge and created a 3D printed molar-shaped tooth box! First, I made a mold using playdough and scanned it with my 3D scanner. Then, I processed the scan in MeshLab and combined the pieces in Blender. Finally, I used OpenSCAD to design the molar box shape. To print the box, simply download and print the STL files for "molar_base" and "molar_cap." Use support material when printing the cap, as it requires the most cleaning up afterwards. For a more advanced project, you can modify the source SCAD file to create your own unique designs!
