Molar box and stand

A colleague of mine has young children that do not believe in the tooth fairy ;-) But they did not want to throw them away. So he asked me if i could print a box in a shape of a molar. Aha a challenge !! So first a made something out of playdoh and scanned parts of that with my 3d scanner :-) Meshed and simplified them in meshlab Put it together with blender And then used OpenScad to make a box out of it pffff ;-) It looks fun so print it (id did try to print the molar without a base but that is a bit tricky) Instructions Simple: Print molar_base.stl Print molar_cap.stl use support material (full support) i tried diverent version but this way works the best i think Clean them up, the cap needs the most work. to make the cap fit sand it down or print it a bit bigger . Hardcore: Open the scad file generate some new one's ;-) the raw_molar_hi file i added just for kicks Category: Other
