Moka Pot Funnel Stand Holder
thingiverse
I noticed that when brewing coffee with the Moka Pot, there is an inconvenient moment when you need to load coffee into the funnel. Ideally you need (or at least I like it) to prepare the funnel with coffee before purring boiling water into the pot, because you want to avoid heating coffee for too long and get a bitter overcooked taste. So I designed a Moka Pot inspired stand for the funnel, which allow you to place and fill the funnel with coffee (or a mix of coffees) in advance. It fits most of the funnels, big 6 cup pots and 2 cup pots alike... or at least you can enlarge the model to fit. My preferred receipt/order of brewing Moka Pot coffee: 1. Start boiling water 1b. Start preheating the stove (if its electric stove) 2. Place your favorite blend of coffee into the funnel in the Grishko Coffee Stand, fill the funnel full but don't press the coffee to be compressed 3. Pour the boiling water into the pot, up to a bit lower than the pressure valve 4. Place the funnel into its place and screw the main parts together (help yourself with a towel because the lower part is super hot) 5. Place the Moka Pot on the preheated stove 6. Within a minute or two the build up pressure will transfer most of the water into the upper part and you'll start hearing a slight steam noises - immediately remove the Moka Pot and cool the lower part with running cold water 6b. Cant stretch it enough - don't overcook 7. Coffee is basically ready to use as espresso in your favorite receipt 7b. My Untypical "Grishko" Receipt - Try two spoons of condensed sweet milk, 3/4 cup espresso, whipped cream 7c. Caffè macchiato - espresso & foamed milk p.s. I don't have copyrights for the last receipt image, check out more at orbitvisual.com
