Moisture Sensor
thingiverse
Planting season is finally here, and I'm always struggling to get it just right - either drowning my plants in too much water or neglecting them with too little. My track record with houseplants isn't exactly impressive either. This project involves building a battery-powered capacitive moisture sensor, which not only proves useful but also showcases how I combine various models to create new and innovative things. The two middle posts on the box serve as supports for the battery holder, making it easy to remove and install. This is essential because soldering the leads directly onto the battery tabs would be extremely challenging without this feature. Here are the components used in this project: Wemos D1 Mini Capacitive Moisture Sensor 18650 Battery
