Moineau Pump multi-lobe edition
thingiverse
This is a revised rendition of the 2011 Moineau Pump by emmet, with notable modifications made to the original openSCAD file to facilitate the creation of multi-lobe rotor and stator components, as outlined in this guide: http://siags.siam.org/siaggd/problems/gravesen/HypoEpi3_2.html The Moineau pump (also known as a progressing cavity pump) is a versatile tool that can be utilized for various purposes, similar to the original design, where volumetric pumping is essential. Currently, we are conducting experiments with our innovative concept for a modified extruder, enabling a 3D printer to receive plastic pellets rather than filament, and this specific type of "screw" is the only one capable of providing a precise feed of plastic (Auger screws cannot accomplish this). NOTICE: version 11 has been updated, some of the previous versions contained bugs or resulted in STL files that wouldn't work correctly; please use the current version, which has been improved and will generate accurate STL files for values of "number of lobes" ranging from 2 to 9.
With this file you will be able to print Moineau Pump multi-lobe edition with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Moineau Pump multi-lobe edition.
