NOTE: Not yet tested. Updated Version: The previous version jammed as soon as material entered the pump, so I geared it down to prevent this issue. The coupling mechanism has also been modified to make the entire system more compact. Rotor Diameter Increased: The rotor diameter has been doubled to improve performance, and the inlet has been redesigned for better airflow. Silicone Sealings: I designed several molds to create silicone sealings for the motor and spacer, as well as around the motor axis behind the coupler and between the inlet/spacer and inlet/stator. Parts List: * 4x Threaded rod M4 x 45mm * 1x Bearing 8x22x7 * 3x Screws M3x10 * 1x Hexcap M8 x 18mm (cut to length) * 2x Hexcap M4 x 16 * 1x Nut M8 * 9x Nut M4 * 2x M8 washers (printed, to the required height) Assembly Instructions: The entire assembly is secured by four M4 threaded rods and nuts. The stator requires a few holes that need drilling. The motor is mounted using M3x10mm screws. Important Assembly Steps: Inside the motor mount is an 8x22x7 bearing that needs to be inserted mid-print. After slicing, edit your G-code to search for the layer covering the bearing. Immediately after "G1 Zxx.xxx", insert the following code: G1 X90.000 F1200 ;move extruder to the side G4 S60 ;dwell for one minute, or pause the print in the host G1 E20.000 F100 ;prime extruder after pausing M220 S50 ;slow down, plastic doesn't like sticking to metal After printing a layer of good quality, adjust the speed with M220 S100. This method is also used in oldham_1.stl. Insert a M8 nut before closing the hole to prevent bridges. M220 is supported on Marlin; try it if it works on your firmware. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Printer: Mendel90 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.15mm Infill: 30% Notes: These settings are recommended for the stator and rotor, which require as little friction as possible to be ooze-free. Use Slicing (slic3r) with these settings enabled, along with "Avoid crossing perimeters" and "Seam position: nearest". Print PLA at 185 C. Also set retraction high for layer height (1.25mm), printing external perimeters first.
